Welcome to Creed Outdoor

Creed Outdoor Learning Trust Ethos is to get young people outdoors and active, trying new things and increasing their social circle and creating an awareness of their surroundings, which is known to be beneficial for their mental health and wellbeing. To give every child that we work with a chance to learn new skills, develop and improve old skills and to increase self confidence by giving them a taste of adventure in a safe, secure environment.

Designing, developing and delivering new activities and programmes that are educational, adventurous, affordable and most importantly fun. Either through our site based activities at Millennium Woods, Teynham, through a range of outreach activities that can be delivered on school sites, or through our youth club provision in the Faversham area.

With our experienced, qualified staff/ instructors you can take part in archery, axe throwing, climbing, high ropes, abseiling, low ropes, survival skills, (shelter building and fire lighting), physical ability courses, team building/ problem solving, blind-line, orienteering as well as environmental activities such as mini beast hunt, pond dipping, tree and wildlife identification and environmental artwork.

Creed Outdoor Learning was set up in 2011 by Paul Oxberry to develop and deliver outdoor educational and adventurous activities in Swale, Kent. In 2012 we were part of a consortium commissioned by Kent County Council to provide youth club activities, initially in Faversham and then to the wider area of Swale, eventually pulling out of the consortium and running our own youth projects, financed by local grants, Faversham District Lottery Tickets and money from people using our outdoor centre.

Our youth clubs are FREE to attend and run by volunteers that have many years experience working with young people and a wealth of knowledge and qualifications, we work to the national youth curriculum framework around Education, Empowerment, Equality and Participation. Each year we get our young people involved in raising funds for charity, get them involved in KYCC elections and have an end of year overnight camp. Creed Outdoor Learning and Creed Youth don’t just work with young people; we work FOR young people.

At our outdoor activity site in Millennium Woods, Teynham, we run school and youth group activities as well as school holiday clubs and family activities. We try to keep out prices affordable to all and seek funding grants to subsidise some activities, we have received funding from local Swale Borough councillors, Kent County Council’s “Reconnect” project, Swale Youth, Local Rotary and we are one of the good causes that benefit from Faversham and District Community Lottery, where you can buy tickets that directly help to fund us.
